Report on Camp on Climate Change
PENCH TIGER RESERVE – January 18th – 21st January 2016.
ASN has been an active member of Eco-Club and participates in all climates related projects.
On 18th January 2016 two ASNites – Gayatri and Paritosh of Class – VIII along with their teacher coordinator left Delhi to join CAMP FOR CLIMATE CHANGE organized by TERI- held at PENCH TIGER RESERVE RESORT on 3 days Camp.
This Camp had an objective to sensitize the students by exposing them to the effects of climate change on the Fauna & Flora, impacting the Bio-diversity which is not an encouraging prognosis. The visit to the village provided the students with a fair idea on the hazards enveloping the pot making profession and they had hands on experience with a sense of commitment to save the environment. The tour that was taken along the tiger reserve was an exciting journey and students had a lot of visuals of many animals like Stag Deer, Monkeys, peacocks & migratory birds captured in their natural habitat. The interactive session was the ice breaking paving way for socio, cultural exchange with students of various schools of Delhi and Hyderabad. On the whole such camp is the need of aware to sensitize the State holds of this one Earth, One life which they need to improve, cherish to pass on the cultural heritage to their next generation.
