ASN Sr. Sec. School celebrated Founder’s Day on 17.02.2012
A cultural programme was put up by the students. Their enthralling performance kept everyone spellbound. Our visionary Chairperson Shri K. L. Luthra and our dynamic Manager Mr. Rajiv Nayan Luthra being sports enthusiasts encourages students to participate in sports activities.
A week long sports activities were organized where both ASN Sr. Sec. School (Primary Wing) and ASN International School participated. 50 m and 100 m Heats were organized for classes I-III and 4x50m Relay Race was conducted for class IV. Children participated with lots of enthusiasm in various fun races like Commando, Balloon Race, Sack Race and River Race. The winners were awarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals for their achievements.
The programme was culminated by the vote of thanks given by the Principal Mrs. Sonia Luthra.

Street Play -- “Hum Bas Ek Mudda Hain” (15th Feb)
A play on Kashmir by ‘ABHINAY’- by the Dramatics Society of Maharaja Agrasen College aims at highlighting the turmoil’s faced by Kashmiri people. The play brings to forefront their issues, their interactions with the Armed Forces present in the region and most importantly their rights as humans as well as citizens of India.
The play was performed at ASN Senior Secondary School on 15th Feb as a part of Manthan 2012, organized by Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies.

Inter School Street Play Event was conducted on 1st February, 2012 under the aegis of IQF
Many schools from Delhi and NCR participated in the event .
Theme of the event – Spiritual Empowerment of Youth will generate responsible citizens of future India or Sacrifice, Kindness and Sevaa are not obsolete ideas.

Third position : Ahlcon Public School
As ASN were the host, the trophy was passed on to the next school.
DAV , Shreshtha Vihar was declared thethird position holder.

Dr. Lakshmi, Principal of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College , Delhi gave away the prizes.
NATIONAL VOTERS DAY CELEBRATIONS IN ASN(25th JAN)
National Voter’s day was celebrated at ASN Sr. Sec. School Mayur Vihar-I , Delhi. The SDM (Election), District East Delhi , Mr. P K Sharma organized various competitions like Declamation, Slogan Writing, Poster Making and Essay Writing competitions for the school students of different age groups in which more than 600 students of various schools of East Delhi took part.. The topics were all election related issues.
The Prize Distribution Function was held on the same day. The Chief Guest, Mr. GK Marwah, a retired IAS officer gave away the prizes to position holders. Special guest of the day Mr. AK Paitandi, a retired IAS officer and all the dignitaries applauded the dance ballet “Kalia Daman” which stole the show was presented by the students of the host school, ASN Sr. Sec. School. Mr. R K Mishra , Deputy Commissioner (East) was also present in the function. The students of ASN won many prizes in various competitions.



INTER DISTRICT CULTRUAL COMPETITION { ON THE SPOT PAINTING}
VAIBHAV OF CLASS VIII-F PARTICIPATED IN INTER DISTRICT CULTRUAL COMPETITION { ON THE SPOT PAINTING} CONDUCTED BY DIRECTORATE OF EDUCATION, GOVT OF NCT OF DELHI . WHERE HE BAGGED THE FIRST PRIZE. HE WAS AWARDED A CASH PRIZE OF RS. 1000/- BY MAHABALI SATPAL JI
QuiZ Competition
The Institute of Technology and Science Ghaziabad conducted a quiz competetion for XI std on 20th August '11 in our premiseson General English, Sports, Logical Reasoning, Aptitude General Awareness and IT Trends.
The following three students topped this quiz .
1.Samarth XI Science Ist was awarded cash prize of Rs 1500
2. Amrita XI Science 2nd was awarded cash prize of Rs 1000
3.Saraswath XI Commerce3rd was awarded cash prize of Rs 500
They will participate in an Interschool live quiz competetion on15th october 2011.
Activities of Commerce Stream
1 In the month ofAprilthe commerce students visitedYamaha companyas an education tour.The factory visit proved very valauble to the students who witnessed the production process of the motor cycles.The overall setup of the factory, the security system etc.
2 In the month ofJulythere was a career counselling for Class 12thby Mr Ashish Jain ofEdumentor. Valuable information was provided to the students as to how to prepare for the various enterance examinations after 10+2. Further light was thrown on the avenues open to the commerce and humanities stream.
3 In the month ofSeptemberClass 11th Commerce stream had career counselling byBBS Advisors, Sameera Kaur and Dr. Manchandana highlited the different qualities like skill, abilities,interests,personality etc required for differrent profession.It was an interesting interacting session.
4.There was aInter-class Symposium Competetionheld onAugust25th for Class 11th Commerce.
Aditya NairandDiksha Jaincame first on the topic was curruption.
5. Alcon Public hostedE -Combatfor commerce stream,in the month of Sept. ASN Sn Sec School stood 2nd in the open QUIZ.
Avinash JhaandAbhejeet Singhof 12th D won the award.
NRY WING Celebrates Grand Parents’ Day
ASN school, Nry wing celebrated Grand Parents’ Day on 9.9-11. A visit to Bhagwat Dham – an oldage home, was planned to celebrate the same with the old residents of Bhagwat Dham. Little children of Nry wing brought smile on their faces with their wonderful performances on
songs – "Maiya Yashoda.." , "Punjabi Mast mast..."
Few shlokas and bhajans were also recited by the children and were appreciated & enjoyed by them.
In the end, little children seeked their blessings, wished them Happy Grand Parents’ Day and presented few gifts to all the inmates of Bhagwat Dham.
ASN SR SEC SCHOOL CONDUCTED INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The oath taking ceremony of the students council of ASN Sr Sec School was held on 21 July 2011. The Head Boy Sameer Goel and Head Girl Amrita Jha,the Vice-heads and the junior wing heads took the oath of office. The four houses Chief -Prefects along with their respective prefects,sports captain and the discipline squad also were administerd the oath.
The chairman Sh K L Luthra , Manager Sh.Rajiv Luthra and Principal Smt Sonia Luthra honourd the students council with the badges. The oath was administed by the sn wing incharge Ms Rekha Balasubramanium and the council heads Ms Ranjini Rao and Mr Sandeep Rathi.
ACTIVITIES OF LOWER PRIMARY WING
Hindi Recitation Competition (5th May 2011)
The Hindi Recitation was held on 5th May 2011 with all its focus on message-giving poems from all sections. The best part of this show was 100% participation of Lower Primary wing. Colourful props added to the beauty presented on the stage, which left indeed an everlasting effect on the mind of the audience.
Book-Mark Making (1st August 2011)
On 1st August 2011 Book mark making activity was held in the Golden hour in which students brought decorative materials like mirrors, glitters, old greeting cutouts, ribbons etc. Children were excited and displayed their keen enthusiasm in performing this activity.
Janmashtmi Celebration(18th August’ 11)
Krishna’s childhood was well reflected by the mesmerizing and awe strucking performance of tiny tots of primary wing on 18th August’11 on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtmi.
English Recitation Competition (22nd July ’11)
Children of Lower Primary participated in English Recitation Competition reciting theme based poems and thereby imparted moral values and good virtues. Appropriate stress was laid on reciting with proper rhythm, expression speech and intonation.
Independence Day Celebration
Our school has celebrated 64th Independence Day with the great feeling of patriotism. The students from different wing s participated in it. The whole school was filled with the colours of love and unity.
Talent Hunt (Dance Competition)
Talent Hunt dance competition was conducted by Lower Primary Wing on 26th August’11 to showcase the talent of little kids. The students participated in it with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Paper Bag Making Competition
Paper bag making competition was held in Lower Primary Wing on 4th August’11. The students were encouraged to bring papers and make bags with them. In order to bring system in the atmosphere, the habit of recycle was inculcated in them.
TREE PLANTATION DAY
On 15th July 2011,we celebrated Tree plantation Day in our school. The students of lower primary wing brought saplings and planted it themselves. This was organized to make the students understand that plants are essential to the balance of nature and people’s life. Without them life on planet earth would be almost impossible. Banners and slogans were written “EACH ONE PLANT ONE” was the theme.
